Nicholas Boldyga (R-Southwick) is currently the Representative for the Third District of Hampden in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. First elected in November of 2010, Rep. Boldyga’s district includes the City of Agawam and the Towns of Granville and Southwick in Western Massachusetts. Representative Boldyga serves on the Election Laws, Redistricting, Higher Education, and Revenue committees.
Prior to his service in the Massachusetts House of Representatives, Rep. Boldyga served as Parks & Recreation Commissioner and most notably as a Selectman in the Town of Southwick. In addition to his service in local and state government, Rep. Boldyga previously worked as a Police Officer in the State of Connecticut. During his career as a police officer, Rep. Boldyga was awarded a Professional Policing Award for his successful efforts in combating drunk driving.
In addition to his public sector experience, he has significant private sector experience having worked in the Financial Services Sector as an Auditor and Consultant for Deloitte & Touche LLP. His background and experience have proven to be quite valuable as he carries out his legislative responsibilities.
Representative Boldyga holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Western New England University. He is also a graduate of the Connecticut Police Academy and the Western MA Reserve Police Academy.
He currently resides in Southwick with his wife Jessica, their three children and the family dog, Stan.
